EASTER AND THE BROKEN ARM

Oh what a week we have had. Sunday as everyone knows was Easter. We had Kody and Ashli Jones over on Saturday and they eneded up spending over. We woke up on easter sunday and decided that we needed to get some breakfast before heading over to Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's house for Easter dinner. We packed everyone up and went to Jeremiah's for brunch, it was already One. We ate, said goodbye to the Jones, and headed to Plain City. The Easter bunny had brought Gracie a new Princess Scooter and Peyton a Dora trike so Renee took the kids inside while Steven put them together so the kids could ride them. Gracie was so excited that she was having a blast on them. Then Steven reminded Gracie that she still had her four wheeler that we had bought her for her birthday. So Gracie was game and headed to the back pasture for some four wheeling fun. Well the fun lasted about 2 minutes. Gracie was doing so good driving the four wheeler, when all of a sudden she flipped it going to fast around the corner. She started screaming " I BROKE MY ARM!" I totally didn't believe her until I saw her arm swinging the wrong way. UGH! My stomach dropped, I picked her up and threw her in the durango and off we headed to the Emergency room up at McKay Dee. They immediatley took us in, gave Gracie some morphine and off to the x-rays she went. Then the dr told us the worse news. Gracie needed emergency surgery on her elbow. So off to surgery Gracie went. She was in for about 2 hours and 5 pins later in her elbow. When she got out of surgery it was already 9pm. They told us that we were here for the night. So off to floor 5 and the long night of sleeping on the tiny couch. The nurses in the Pediatrics wing are awesome. They took care of Gracie so well, they even gave her a Easter Basket. They set Gracie's arm in a soft cast until the swelling can go down. She is going in tomorrow (fri) to get a cast. She hopes they have pink. Here are some before and after pics of Gracies arm.
